Friday evening, September 18 Zoom Gathering for live Kabbalat Shabbat service 5:30 - 6:15 p.m. PT Rosh Hashanah happens to start on Shabbat this year, so we will gather for a short live Kabbalat Shabbat service led by Reb Brian Yosef and family, along with Jeannette, Kohenet Yael, Gary Lapow and Ahbi Vernon. Podcast of Evening Service (Ma'ariv) Length: 1 hour 50 minutes If the timing works for you, it is preferable to listen to this podcast after the Kabbalat Shabbat service on Zoom. You may also want to listen again on Saturday night which is the second evening of Rosh Hashanah. |
Rosh Hashanah Day
Saturday, September 19 Zoom Community Gathering 9:30 - 10:15 a.m. PT Join community weavers Rabbi Diane Elliot and Jeanette Ferber to create a sacred container for the unfolding of the day. Rabbi Diane will lead us with invitations, prompts, music, tone setting and provide a Treasure Map for the day’s activities. You may want to download and print the Rosh Hashana Treasure Map as well as the supplemental Readings & Poetry for Rosh Hashanah before the holiday. (These are all found on the Event Page once you are registered.) Podcast Virtual Listening Party 10:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (PT) The Zoom room will be open to stream musical service podcast (see below for details) after a short break. If you prefer to listen in community, this might be a good option for you. *If you don't want to miss out on seeing people but prefer to listen to the services through your headphones or speaker for higher quality sound, just mute the Zoom audio.
